2.Training yourself to use different perspectives can give your creative output a powerful boost. Thoughts affect how you see. For example, a photo of a face can be right in front of you, but you draw what you think a face looks like, instead of what is actually there.
Good art instructors will have you turn the photo upside down, and then draw the face. This interrupts your normal mental interpretation of the face, and leaves you with nothing to do but draw the lines the way they are. Try this technique. You'll be surprised how much more accurate a drawing done this way is.
Try other ways of changing your perspective too. Look at things as a child would, or even as a dog would. Why not train yourself to try different perspectives in all areas of your life?
3.Close Your Eyes
The eyestrain from staring at a computer screen is distracting, and relieving it may help you think more clearly. There is also another reason to close your eyes for a minute now and then. Doing so has been shown to cause an almost immediate increase in "alpha" brain waves. The alpha brainwave state is known to make learning things easier, and to increase creative thought. Rest your eyes once in a while.
4.Is Ping Pong A Mind Game?
Research clearly shows now that stimulating the brain causes measurable changes in the structure of the brain. With intellectual work or mental games like Sudoku or crossword puzzles, new connections are made and new brain cells are grown. Interestingly, this has been found to be true with physical games as well, if they involve hand-eye coordination. Ping pong, juggling, and playing catch may all be good for your brain.
